Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3224327114552506333.post-66292803498916533612017-11-08T21:07:59.013+00:002017-11-08T21:07:59.013+00:00As someone who was a shift worker for 28 years and...As someone who was a shift worker for 28 years and working several different shift patterns by far the best was 12hr shifts in a 3 on / 3 off pattern, i.e. 3 days / 3 off / 3 nights / 3 off with a two week break in every 6 weeks worked. The worst was an 8 hour pattern that left everyone feeling like zombies after the first week and subsequently the accident rate went through the roof! I'd also comment that the older you go the harder it was on you but as mentioned above that 3 on / 3 off pattern was the least wearing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
